Kellie Farnham Counselling

Start your journey

Welcome, I’m Kellie Farnham

I’m a qualified psychodynamic counsellor, commited to supporting your journey toward personal growth and empowerment. In our work together, I offer a safe, non-judgemental space in which you can explore what’s going on for you, gain new insights, and develop fresh perspectives. Whether you’re navigating trauma or adoption-related experiences, relationship difficulties, bereavement, anxiety, depression, or simply facing the everyday challenges life brings, I’m here to walk alongside you on your journey toward change.

My own journey through therapy showed me how daunting that first step can feel. Reaching out is often the hardest part. For me, the process brought both questions and insights, but over time it became a space where I could reflect, process and grow. That has deeply shaped the way I work today. With empathy, patience and a strong belief in every person’s potential to create lasting change when given the right environment. Therapy gave me a deeper understanding of who I am, and it’s that personal insight that continues to inform and inspire my work with others.

I work from a relational and developmental perspective, exploring how early experiences and unconscious patterns can shape the way we feel, think and relate to others today. Together, we’ll explore the “why” behind your thoughts, feelings and behaviours, whilst gently uncovering your truth at a pace that feels right to you.

We’ll consider new ways of understanding your experiences, while also acknowledging and strengthening the strategies that have already supported you. My aim is to help you find a way forward that feels authentic and meaningful to you.

Individually

We all need support at times and a safe non-judgemental space to be heard. Individual counselling offers one-on-one, confidential sessions that focus entirely on your personal concerns and emotional well-being. This means you don’t have to navigate life’s challenges alone. Reaching out can be the first step toward understanding yourself more deeply and discovering new ways to move through life’s complexities.

Adoption Support for All Involved

Whether you are a birth parent, adopted person, adoptive parent, or part of the foster care system, adoption can bring complex and deeply personal emotions. Each journey is unique, and counselling can provide a safe supportive space to explore your experience.

Therapy offers a place to speak your truth, process your side of the story, and receive compassionate support, without judgement

What a Counselling Session Looks Like

We’ll meet via zoom for one-hour sessions in a confidential and supportive space.

In the first couple of sessions, we’ll explore what’s brought you to counselling and what you’d like to work on. These early sessions are about getting to know each other and understanding your goals.

I may ask questions or reflect back what I hear to help clarify your thoughts and feelings, always at your pace. There’s no rush. This process helps us build a trusting therapeutic relationship, which is a key part of effective counselling.

Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed or simply curious about personal growth, these sessions are a space just for you.

Why Me?

I don’t claim to have all the answers, because therapy isn’t about fixing, it’s about understanding. It’s about reconnecting with who you truly are beneath the noise, the expectations and the past experiences.

My passion lies in helping you make sense of What’s going on inside Through self-awareness, we begin to uncover patterns, emotions and beliefs that may have been running quietly in the background. Then, from that place of insight, real growth and change can begin. I’m not here to give you quick solutions, but to walk alongside you as you explore your inner world, at your own pace.

Finding the right therapist is important. I offer a free, no-obligation phone consultation where we can talk about your concerns and goals. The conversation can help you decide whether you’d feel comfortable moving forward with counselling.

Ongoing sessions are one hour long and I recommend weekly sessions. Each one hour session is £60.
